Everyone might remember old manual whisks used by our grandmothers.
Complicated construction of those objects remind more a driller than a kitchen utility.
Jaro went back in time to this old construction and redefine it by replacing
sharp mechanism by round, organic form that is not only easier to clean
but also ergonomic in its form.

“I believe that at the time of pervasive technology,
there is still a place for manual objects.
I feel more spirit in things that requires our touch,
muscle-power or time”– said Kose.

At a first glance, the Invader “gear” might appear a complicated design,
but on closer scrutiny, its incredible simplicity becomes apparent.
Invader’s mechanism based on half of spheres is a true heart of this design
– as revolutionary as it is surprisingly functional.
It looks simple, but it works well and gives enough speed even to beat egg whites.

“Why I named it Invader? When I place first prototypes in a row,
they looked like an invasion from outer space”.

Finely balanced shape of the Invader whisk
takes its roots in the organic form of the squid.

Instead of following the consumption fever we could
focus on rediscovering items we already purchased.
This is not an eco-trend but a true eco-awareness.

Did you ask yourself how many beautiful watches
you are hiding in the drawer?
At least a few- am I right?

The Watch-Tower is a small ceramic holder invented to show
every watch that normally is hidden from people’s sight.
It’s a simple object dedicated for everyone who
is looking for a design that combines natural materials,
minimal aesthetic, usability that involves customer as a co-designer
and the endless possibilities of customisation.
It is the user’s decision what kind of watch
will be placed inside the Watch-Tower.
Therefore, the user is the most important
and inseparable part of this design concept.

The Watch-Tower is made entirely from
glazed natural clay. The technique that
is well known for nearly 30 0000 years!
The casting mould is based on a hand-made sculpture,
to reach the most natural look in an industrial
production process. This is the reason why
the Watch-Tower with its wavy sides looks
like a one-off piece of art.

You don’t need to buy another watch,
you just have to use the one you hide.

There are two different theories of “time”.
One theory is describing time as a circle. Second one is telling us that time is a line.
Philosophers cannot decide which theory is more accurate and to let us be even
more confused, they say that both of these theories could be right.

I decided to join these thoughts in one design.
To show the “circle of time” and the “timeline” in one object.

Imagine that you are locked up with a clock in a room without windows.
You cannot see more than 12 hours constantly repeating their path.
And now imagine that someone puts flower in this room…
Now you can see what time means for such a fragile plant with its short lifetime.

By connecting clock with I wanted to show that we have to
take care of the quality of the time we have.
We can see time as a circle when every day seems the same
but we cannot forget that our time is not infinite.
